This is my first time posting to a vox group, I hope this works. Durr.
Okay, you might remember me making a list of rules/guidelines I thought we should agree on for Las Vegas. I was nervous back then, but after the fact I realized that (most) American Arashi fans are really cool dudes and didn't get out of hand at all. Let's continue that tradition in LA, shall we? ♥ I don't work for USC, I'm not trying to boss anyone around, but as a Jun fan I want to make sure everything goes well at his first premiere in the US. Who loves rules? I love rules! Woohoo. *shot*
- NO PICTURES OR VIDEOS. Come on, this is a movie theater. Have some common sense. I know that for the Iwojima premiere in Berlin all bags were confiscated at the door. That might be the case here, I don't know. There's nothing stopping you from taking pictures of the outside of the building, but no pictures inside the theater. On that note, no uchiwa or signboards either. This isn't a concert. Keep in mind all the usual rules for movie theaters, too. (cellphones off, etc)
- If we get a chance to meet Jun up close, at the reception or whatever, behave like a civilized human being. I know it's really hard, but let's try to keeping the fangirl screaming and jumping up and down to a minimum. Remember the four feet rule! Also, as you might know, Jun seems to have a bit of a phobia of speaking English, so if you can, greet him in Japanese. Even if your Japanese sucks (as mine does) I'm sure he'll appreciate the effort!
- I know a lot of people plan on bringing presents. Don't go out an buy some expensive jewelry or whatever for him, as there's a chance it might not be accepted. In Vegas, he only accepted letters/small gifts when his manager or staff wasn't watching. Accepting gifts is against JE rules, so don't fault him if he doesn't accept them. He probably won't do autographs either. It never hurts to ask, but most likely all he'll give is handshakes. That is, if we get to see him up close at all. edit: It's been confirmed by the staff that we will be allowed to give him a bouquet! Anyone that wants to chip in to get him a really nice one, contact Liz.
- We will be standing in line for a while. If someone needs to leave for a bathroom break (I recommend leaving in groups of two or more, for safety reasons) save their spot in line for them. When the doors open at 4:30, no pushing, shoving, or butting in line. I'm sure we'll all do our best to make sure every fan gets a seat. There's no need to shove your way in.
- One important detail that's not on the USC website: Bring your driver's license or other photo ID with you! I received an e-mail from the staff about this. Presumably, they will be checking IDs to make sure you're on the RSVP list. (If you're not, don't give up hope! There's still a chance they'll let you in, especially if you came from out of state.)
I have a feeling that the USC staff weren't expecting a large crowd of fans there, so let's do our best to be as courteous as possible. We're the representatives of the American Arashi fanbase, after all. There are already a bunch of critics saying that some boyband guy shouldn't have been cast in a Kurosawa remake. If we misbehave, that will make their opinion of him worse. We can go crazy as much as we want at the fan meet up afterwards. xP
If there's anything else you can think of that's not listed here, just comment and I'll add it! Please spread this around to everyone you know that's going to get the word out. Thanks~~
